Porch & steps
Leave a clear walking path to the door. Small figures and stakes work here; keep cords away from where people step.
Front lawn
Pick level ground with room behind a blow-up piece for its fan. Stake and tether every point provided.
Driveway & entry arches
Measure the width of the path and the clearance above it. An arch needs anchoring on both sides and should not block a car or a walkway people need.
Roofline & big yards
The tallest pieces, 10 ft and up, need open space and careful anchoring. For roof-hanging designs, follow the maker's instructions exactly and don't climb in wet or icy weather.
Tables & windows
Small lighted pieces. Check whether the listing says indoor, outdoor or both.
Power
Use outdoor-rated extension cords and a GFCI-protected outlet, and keep connections off wet ground.
